Baby nr 2, 37 weeks + 0 days.

Redecorating..

Since baby nr 2 is soon on his way to us, we shuffled around some furniture to better make place for him and arriving guests. This meant that I had to sacrifice my study so that it instead became a guest room, which meant changing places for my English desk with the extra bed. It is all good though, Oli really likes to sit at my desk and paint, or as in the case in the pictures, read "Bamse" to himself.

Mid-week dinner at Sjögrens'! 2012-11-15

Frida and Alexander.

Manfred and Oliver enjoyed a story read by Marta. None of
them managed to fall asleep though...

Ingemar and Erik, wine tasting through the night..

A pirate, o' hoy!
Since none of us could manage our oh-so-busy schedules so that we could get together on a weekend, we simply had dinner at Ingemar and Marta's place on a weekday. We were, as always, very well cared for and enjoyed a couple of happy hours in a very enjoyable company!

Marie's and Christian's wedding in Fjärilshuset (Hagaparken), 2012-11-17!

What great people and what a great party! Erik and I stayed until it was over, which was at 02.00 in the morning, that's how good it was (me and my stomach normally fall asleep on the couch by eight in the evening nowadays...). We had such a good time and Fjärilshuset was a fun, warm and romantic venue for this kind of event. It was a true privilege to be part of Marie and Christian's wedding!

Babysitters! 2012-11-17

Per received a gentle kiss on his forehead...

A good deed follows by another one and Oli had someone to
play with.

Maestro!

"Moncsi come"! was a frequently used phrase by Oli this day.
Móni was kind enough to obey most of the time and they got
along very well! No surprise there..

Rascal!
Móni and Per came to visit on Friday night and stayed the whole weekend. Their main aim with the visit was to celebrate Per's little brother's birthday, but they also managed to squeeze in baby sitting for Oliver on Saturday when Erik and I went to our neighbours' wedding. Móni and Per are so great with kids and their love for Oliver warms my heart! By the way Oli is with them, it is easy to tell that he loves them just as much as they love him.

Uneventful but lovely weekend, 9-11 November 2012.

On Friday I was feeling much, much
better than I had in three weeks time,
so I ventured out on a very slow walk
in Hagaparken, soaking up the sunshine
and starting to feel somewhat like a
normal human being again. Afterwards,
I stepped into the beauty parlor next
door and treated myself to a spontaneous
facial. It was heavenly! On Saturday all me
and my family did was to get some much
needed groceries and then took it easy
on the couch the rest of the day...

On Sunday, my neighbour Marie invited me and Oliver over to
make some ginger bread with Oli and Adrian. It was so nice to
just take the stairs down and hang out for a while. Uncomplicated
and easy fun. It was also nice to hear about Marie's bachelorette
party that I missed due to pelvic girdle pain earlier in October. I am
so looking forward to their wedding this Saturday! Though I need
to make an inventory of my closet, I don't have much in elephant size
that is chic enough for a wedding...

The boys, eating and playing with their favourite toys..

Sunday night, totally wiped out! Notice my "maternity glow"?
Due to severely dry skin I smeared my face in the only thing
that helps; Eight Hour Cream... It's a classic that I almost always
carry with me wherever I go.

Baby nr 2, 34 weeks+ 1 day.

Ok so I feel like crap and I certainly look like crap. I am totally floored from sinusitis with a touch of influenza. I walk around in a fog, can't hear properly or breathe while my heart races and my body tries to mend itself. My colleagues at work sent me home last Tuesday and I have been at home ever since. I rarely take a sick day and it is unprecedented for me to be home from work this much, but I have no choice. After two weeks of feeling like this I gave up on letting nature take its course and started to take penicillin. Hopefully I will get better within a week.
This past weekend (Halloween) we were supposed to check out another house and some building plots, but since I was quite out of it and Oliver also spontaneously threw up all over the floor, we stayed in all weekend.
Otherwise there is nothing new on the pregnancy front. I am tired of my big belly that doesn't allow me to find one single comfortable position to either sit, stand och lay down. It hasn't dropped yet and until that happens, this is how it is. I go to bed every night pushing back acid reflux and the nausea while trying to find a position I can fall asleep in, usually half sitting. Recently I have started to wake up at all times at night, partly because of the activity in my stomach and partly because I think my body is preparing for all the nights awake ahead of me. All the troubles aside, I am so happy and thankful for this little life that is growing within me and I can't wait to meet him!
