On our way to Kristianstad!

It is the first time Gusti travels by train, but Oli is a seasoned traveler at this point. Gusti is sleeping, Oli is watching a movie and I am enjoying the views outside the window. Snowy, magical forests triggers a Narnia kind of feeling..

Déjà vu!

Oli December 2010.
Gusti February 2013.

Error of judgement. Or rather, call it a miscalculation.

I thought I could handle it, but instead of eating a couple of pieces as planned, I ate the whole thing. That's how good it was!

Valentine's day! 2013-02-14

My day went by in a jiffy. At nine I had to get the car out of the garage (cleaning day), so I took Oli to kindergarten then. After that I went straight to our car mechanic in Vallentuna. I borrowed another car from him and left for Täby center where Gusti and I had lunch and found Erik the perfect gift, hurried back to get my car and went to get Oli. The boys and I then went to Brunnsvikens trädgårdscafé and had coffee, much to Oli's joy. When Erik came home he made us a nice dinner and we shared a bottle of wine, ate some more (cheese and chocolate, what else?!) and watched a movie. A good day!

Alex turns one and has his first birthday party! 2013-02-10

The birthday boy.

Seven children went sledding
with their parents...

Oliver forgot all about his
conventional sled when he saw
Manfred's Snowracer. Manny was
kind enough to let Oli ride with him
and both boys loved it!

Manny, Oli and I.

The dashing B-day boy..

Cake, there was a lot of it and SO tasty! Good job Frida!

Fishing for candy...

Nothing else mattered when Oli found the candy. There is a
very good reason for why we don't allow him to eat that normally.
I have a terrible sweet tooth and with those genes he is better off
without the sugar highs and downs. Not to mention all the
health benefits. But with that said he really enjoyed  the little
box of candy that he got and that has to be ok from time to time.
Everything in moderation, right?

Happy sleeper!

Gusti is such a good little boy. And did I mention cute? And lovely? And that wonderful baby scent.. Hehe I am a quite fond of him as you can see. Ok back to what I wanted to say. Almost since he was born he has been sleeping between four and eight hours in one stretch per night! I was prepared to nurse him every other hour during the night as I did with Oliver, so I am pleasantly surprised that I can get so much sleep at this early stage! Ok I function best if I get eight or nine hours sleep per night, but this is still much better than expected.

Never again, I swore. 2013-02-06.

The 25 minute walk from kindergarten to home took close to two hours. Why? Because I had been in the city during the day and therefore took the single stroller with me. Not a wise move as it turned out later. On our way home we tried to take the bus but all four of them that we tried to get on were full of people and strollers. I tried to get on one anyway but were rudely thrown off! On top of that Oliver didn't want to walk, be carried or stand on the stroller. All he wanted to do was laying around in the snow. There was begging and crying going on on both sides and a lot of kicking and screaming from Oli's side. When we finally arrived home, I was utterly exhausted and swore to never do this again.

Having coffee with my boys, 2013-02-05.

Halfway home from kindergarten we had a pit stop to regain
energy. I did this with a latte and Oli with a smoothie.

So much to choose from...

But with some coaching in the healthy
direction Oli was very happy with his
non-sugar-only-fruits-and-yoghurt-smoothie.

I couldn't resist buying a loaf of
sourdough bread. Sandwiches are
one of my vices...

Somewhat sceptical.. 2013-02-04

...but Gusti really enjoy bathing. It is the initial contact with water that is so-and-so.

My hands are full...

...and so is my heart!

Joha children's clothes

This is how happy Gusti is when he has his cozy and warm clothes from Joha on! They are made from 100% merino wool so they are great in our cold climate.

Once upon a time...

...was this me. Did my sons get any of their looks from me? I wonder...

Happy! 2013-01-29.

My heart is full of love and happiness just from looking at this bundle of joy!

Gustaf's christening; the aftermath.

Mom and dad played with Oli when we got back from the
lunch.  Mom couldn't let go of either of her grandchildren...

Unwrapping the gifts!

The happy celebrated.

Oli and I made a team effort of all the
unwrapping.

Oli then tried to give the cards and gifts to Gusti. Sweatheart.

Then Oli played with uncle Per...

Happy smiles all over!

...and then it was nap time!

Gustaf's christening; the lunch.

Móni, my sister and one of Gusti's two godmothers, and Per.

Oliver was so happy that he also got a gift (thank
you Manfred!) that he didn't mind the fuss
 around Gustaf at all.

Ági, dad, Ingemar and Zoltán.

Hélène, one of the godmothers, and her
daughter Tyra.

My brother, the godfather!

Per practices...

Manfred and Oliver.

The three musketeers; Erik, Victor and Marcus.

Erik and I.

The newlyweds sit together! Móni and Per.

Ernst with Gusti's specially made cake.

There was no shortage of people who wanted to entertain Oli.
Here Ági reads from the book Oli got from her. See the
attention he is giving the book? It is "Thomas the train", one
of Oli's favourite characters.

Manny, his mummy Marta and me.

Friends and family, all over!

Ingela and Ernst through a very well organized and enjoyable luncheon at their house. Not only was it nice but also practical since it was close to the church.
