Fishing trip, 4th July 2011.

Oliver, properly equipped, unlike his daddy..

Ingela and Ernst.

MemyselfandI.

The water was very interesting.

Erik with the catch of the day.

Oliver couldn't get enough of the water so when we got
back from the sea, he insisted on getting into his pool. I
obliged, to his great joy.

I cought two fish today. Ernst prepared
them and we just ate them for dinner. It
doesn't get more fresh than that!

How to trick Oliver into crawling: put a keyboard in front of him...

He has never been keen on laying on his stomach and as a result never been interested in crawling. Until now. It took a keybord for him to make the effort to crawl.

Today's activity: afternoon excursion to Kragerö.

It was hot but stuffy today and we were going mad from being inside so much lately (it has been raining like crazy for a couple of days). Oliver has been tricky too, probably from being bored when confided in one (living-) room for too long, so we decided to get out a little bit. Kragerö is a very cute little fishing village that I have only seen from the water when passing by, so it was nice to walk around and see what it really looks like. When we got back to our own little fishing village, Langesund, the sun had come out. I took a nap on a sunbed and Oliver swam in the pool with Erik's mom. At eight o'clock it was time for Oliver to go to bed. We started a new regimen for him a couple of days ago, which means that we follow a strict schedule of when he is supposed to eat and sleep. As a result, Oliver sleeps 12 hours every night and also naps twice during the day! It was after I read the book "A good night's sleep" by Anna Wahlgren that I decided to go for the method and I have nothing but praise for it!

Oliver learns to walk! Step one: building up the confidence to do it by himself.
