Earth hour!

Catrin is here and we have made bread and mashed potatoes. Erik pitched in and made his tzatziki and chicken. We consumed this with only candle lights since it happened to be Earth Hour when we ate, but it felt good to do it and it was kind of cosy too.

...and the stars belong to..? Matthias Dahlgren at Grand hotel!

After eleven courses or so, we concluded that the stars are rightfully theirs. It took us four hours to get through dinner and our stomachs are so full that we can hardly move. It was very nice to get out a little and this place really made it worth wile.

Having Friday night dinner in a restaurant with two Guide Michelin stars. Guess which one?

An Austrian bug?

I am totally floored. I have a splitting headache, fever and I feel like I have been run over by a truck. Erik is the same way. Typical that the body crashes as soon it's time for relaxing. I have not moved an inch from my couch today and my next move will be into my bed. Not even the painkillers are working. How am I supposed to be able to work tomorrow? I have so many things to do! And not to mention the concert I am supposed to go to after work. I have to be well, I WILL be well! That is the mantra I am going to repeat for myself until it comes true.

Skiing in Bad Gastein, 6-13 March 2010

Erik on our first day in the slopes.
The first couple of runs I had shaky legs, but when I realized that I hadn't forgotten how to ski I was suddenly all right again.
Visiting Victor and Andreas in their shared trailer. They are in the Alpes for the whole season, being "echte" ski-bums.
Andreas and I, both tired from a day in the slopes.
Erik's dad Ernst also happened to be in town with his friends. They stayed at the bit more fancier (and more comfortable..) hotel Salzburger Hof...
Ernst invited us to have dinner with him and his friends at their hotel. Everything served was delicious and in a far nicer milieu than the one we normally had dinner in (a run down, smoky restaurant in the railway station). It was very much appreciated!
As it happened, Frida and I decided to take the same week off from work. She visited her parents at their cottage in Zell am See which is quite near Bad Gastein, so we made plans to ski together one day. Said and done, she came, we had a great time skiing and we also managed to eat lunch in the sun!
By Thursday, both Erik and I had a soar throat and we decided to take the day off from skiing. Instead we walked about Bad Gastein and looked at the old and beautiful, but sadly run down, houses in the town's old city centrum. We had a three course lunch for only 10 Euros each, then walked slowly back and then took a sauna, relaxed and read books until it was time for dinner again.
Erik by the waterfall in Bad Gastein.

Could I be more touristic?
Our last skiing day in Bad Gastein for this time! Up until that day I had managed to stay on my feet but I was so tired that I fell, about five times... It's a good idea to stop skiing then.

With my father-in-law. He is a mean skier!

At Lisa and Hagis'

It's so fun that more and more of our friends are moving closer to us! Stockholm is becoming home to me, little by little, friend by friend.

Busy Saturday

Just got back a couple of hours ago from a weeks skiing in Austria. Now we are visiting Herman in his new apartment but soon we are all on our way to Hagis and Lisa's moving in party.

Thursday night dinner with the Ödmansssons

Yesterday Erik made a great dinner for everyone at our place. While he was slaving over the stove, I sat in the hairdresser's chair... I had to fix my hair since my hairdresser will be on a months vacation, but it wasn't the best timing. Luckily, Erik got everything done by himself and he did it (as usual) really well. He truly is Superman... =) Here he is, with his proud mother.

Héléne and Erik William joined us aswell.

Ernst and I. Soon we will be skiing together in Bad Gastein!

(Hmm, does my hair look that red?? Really? AGAIN? It doesn't look that way in my mirror... Gah, you have no idea how hard it is to get that perfect blonde shade in a brunette's hair..)
