It was first and foremost for Lennart Nilsson's pictures I wanted to go. His documentary about life in the womb is truly amazing! I was accompanied by Erik, Hélène and little-Erik and everyone enjoyed the exhibition.
Annie Leibovitz "A Fotographer's Life 1990-2005" was also on display. There were a couple of classic, well known and recognized pictures of celebrities along with pictures from her own life, showing her family and places she had visited, as Rwanda and Sarajevo during war times. Alltoghether very strong pictures, sad pictures, happy pictures, showing life and death. Well, just showing life. Beautiful.
Vee Spears displayed her "The Birthday Party" with surreal, almost painted, pictures of children in different garments. The pictures are all pretty but somehow unpleasant in the same time. While the children play dress up they also seem to take on their future roles.
I really appreciated this experience and I would recommend everyone to go see these exhibitions!
