Christmas 2011 on Lidingö.

Slowly getting into the holiday spirit...

The day before yesterday we had our first follow up meeting with Oliver's kindergarten teacher. We learned that he is a good little boy with a lot of integrity and curiosity. This we already knew of course, but it is interesting to get the perspective from someone outside the family. He is controlling his body better and better and his language is developing rapidly. It is pure joy to spend time with this immensely happy and loving boy!

Yesterday was the last time I worked with all my colleagues before the holidays, and after New Year's I will get new ones... It has been a secret for a while but now I think I can tell everyone that after six years at Handelsbanken I am trying out something new at SEB. It feels fun and exhilarating and I am terrified at the same time! Though I will miss my colleagues.. it has been like hanging out with a group of good friends, every day.

Since I don't have any time off before or in between the holidays, I am struggling to get into the spirit. Yesterday evening I made an effort and made saffron biscottis that Erik and I had late in the evening with a cup of tea. With that I came a little bit closer to that sought after Christmas feeling.

Neither one of my little family felt too hot during this event since we all had come down with the flu, but with some medication and will we had a good time despite it all. The first snow came that day too so the Christmas feeling was just right!
